The Aim and Objectives

The aim is to enhance NEC awareness by explaining the concept and sharing the experiences with (NATO) Network enabled capability to the audience.

The Objectives of this seminar:

  • explain the theory of NEC (NCW) to the audience, compare it with the experiences from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, NRF and Disaster Relief Operation,
  • discuss about Human Dimensions in the NEC environment during the workshop,
  • inform the audience about the NEC implementation progress in nations and NATO strategic framework,
  • identify possible critical aspects of NEC (Cyber defense).

Our intention is to bring together experts with an operational background in the field of NEC from nations, NATO entities, industry and other organisations to address these issues. The focused three day seminar seeks to achieve its aim through a combination of presentations and discussions. “Both sides of the medal” will be discussed.
Joining the seminar also provides the possibility to extend or maintain your social networks.

The Seminar agenda

The seminar will cover  topics similar to our previous events. At this website you can find review documents from previous NEC seminars.  An updated draft program will be available here. There could be changes, due to expected speakers to join. The agenda is divided into 6 logical sessions: Two sides of NEC, NEC Lines of development, the Human factor, Operational experiences utilising NEC, CD&E and some national approaches, and Some critical spects.

The Keynote speaker

The keynote speaker will be MG Roar Sundseth, Chief Innovation, Network Capabilities and Information Infrastructure Command located in Oslo, Norway. His main topic will be Norwegian approach to NNEC.
